Supply Chain Assistant

The primary role is to assist with the purchase of components and or sub-assemblies from our various suppliers, from information gained from the Engineering team. The main function of the role will be managing the procurement process. This will involve creating Purchase Orders, getting them authorised and sending the PO to the Supplier. Once the component/service has been provided, the role will manage the Goods Inwards process ensuring all documentation is recorded in our on line document library. The role will also involve liaising with the suppliers and if any queries arise during the manufacturing process, these to be reported to the Engineering director to be resolved. Ideally a background in engineering would be useful in this role. However, anyone with administration and data skills would be able to fulfil this role. The role can be performed from home.

CAD Modellers

We are looking for both CAD modelers to produce the models and drawings to supply to the suppliers for manufacture of components. The CAD models are also good for promotion and publicity purposes. These models are created from the original BR drawings, which have been copied in pdf format, and are stored in our document library, accessed through our website. CAD skills are essential in this role. SSLC use Inventor and AutoCAD software. However, if Autodesk software is not your particular skill, as you have used other CAD software packages, training can be given in the software. The software can be provided to the successful candidate.

The person in this role would report to the CAD Manager.

New volunteers would have the full support and backing of the Engineering team with over 300 years of varied engineering experience between them. The more diverse the experience of the project team the project will be stronger for it. So don’t hesitate to come and join the team.
