All of the countersinks have been formed in the bogie frame and the frames were moved back to the assembly shop at CTL Seal. Next week we aim to start installing the countersink head bolts which are necessary to ensure that the bolt head does not foul the bogie spring cradle. You can see a trial fit in the photo, The nuts are on temporary bolts to ensure that the frame plates are locked in position on the stretcher. Cupped washers have been used to avoid damaging the countersink. |
